****This is an email****
Hey Prof. Turner,

You asked UCS to install a Java Applet running on
website brings up Active X component installation
dialog. Applet fails to run.

I have installed the adobe shockwave 10.1 update
and it appears to work.

It had to install Shockwave player on my machine
before it would run.

firefox tells you that you are missing a plug in,
and IE7 uses activeX to try and install it.

I meant to add that is fails on every other
machine they try to access it on. Other
simulations under evolution run just fine

It works on 20030637[Edit Inv]. Also runs on the machine
in NS103. It is failing on both IE7 and FireFox.

The Java Applets are simulations that run on a
website hosted here on Campus. Some of the
applets run fine but one in particuar causes IE7
to bring up a dialog box saying that Active X
components need to be installed. When the user
tries to install them, the dialog box pops up
again. After dismissing that that applet fails to
run.
