she was trying to log into mash without being 
connected to the network. They said that there is 
nothing wrong with the laptop.

called and talked with someone who had not dealt 
with the student.  She left a note for someone to 
call us back. The computer is not over there 
currently. I am thinking that the student was 
trying to connect to MASH without having a 
network connection.

Called SEP and left a VM to verify the service
request.

She checked this computer out from SEP and is 
bringing it back to that office immediately (eta 
about 5 min). The message says 'System cannot log 
you on because the domain Mash is not available.'
Also, the power cord seems to be broken. It 
frequently breaks the connection if it is in the 
wrong position.
