Thunderbird's all set up. She seemed happy.
Closing ticket, but keeping it flagged under me
for a while to make sure she's happy.

I've asked the user if she'd mind using
thunderbird instead of outlook. She's said she'd
be fine with that so I'm going to familiarize
myself with the thunderbird install and then call
her for a time to go over and see if we can
migrate her to that.

Both pdf files that are crashing Outlook and ones
that are NOT crashing Outlook are PDF version 1.2
so no luck there.

Found some info here

http://www.caddpower.com/cms/osxpdfversions.htm

I'm calling the user to check and see what version
of the pdf file they're receiving.

She called back because she couldn't remember if
she returned Brad's call about this. It appears
that she did.

The forwarded attachment crashed Outlook for me. I
was using the April connector and everything. not
sure what exactly is causing the problem.

She tried to forward me one of the offending
emails and she couldn't even do that. Attempting
to forward crashed outlook. She forwarded it to me
through the web interface.

Remote connected. Just trying to open the pdf file
through outlook crashes outlook. The file doesn't
open in acrobat nor can you do a save as of the file.

We NEED WOU numbers on tickets. The Helpdesk needs
to be certain they get this info by phone if it's
not included in an email. Alternatively, they can
email the user with the ticket number and ask for
the WOU number. This really does save us time as
techs.

She called leaving her availability:
Here today until 5:00pm.

She gets into her office at 10:00am and will call
back then if no one has made contact with her
today.

****This is an email****

Hi,

A couple of weeks ago, you helped me with an
Outlook problem. I wasn't able to open some pdf
documents that I received from Hamersly Library.
Mike fixed that problem, but since then a new
strange thing has happened twice (most recently
this morning). On both occasions, Outlook closed
when I tried to open a pdf document received via
e-mail from the library. This hasn't happened
with other documents I've received from them.

Thanks,
Peggy Malloy
