He's actually trying to access a registry file
using a shortcut on his desktop.

The registry file is located on the V drive which
has been disabled by Joe.

What page? A WOU page or a personal one he's made?
Is it pointing to a file or to another address we
can check? What exactly is he trying to do?

It tells him that "the drive or network connect 
is unavailable. make sure the disc is properly 
inserted." He will be in from 8-5 today.
