I deleted the picture files from his desktop and
ran CCleaner and Spybot. The files are gone for
good now.

There are about 20+ shortcuts to images .jpgs 
that were on a cd which was given to him to open. 
He erases them {shortcuts} but after he shuts 
down, the shortcuts are still there on his 
desktop cluttering everything. This problem has 
been going on for about a week.

He is part time this summer and said to call 
ahead or just to get a key from the secretary 
downstairs.
