He was typing his password incorrectly and one of
his e-mails had an incorrect e-mail address.

He sent himself a test message. Rec'd Couldn't 
be delivered check your SMTP settings error.  
This is on his mac
When he checks with Communications express the 
email appears to have gone out and come in just 
fine. So,it is his mac mail settings.
