computer.  Travis was not available so I left a 
message on his cell phone and a note taped to 
his monitor

HE called to speak with Brad. Brad and techs were 
not available to take call. Told him I'd leave a 
memo. He needs to talk to someone about access to 
his hard drive so he can pull off a file. He is 
about to leave his office, but asks that someone 
calls him on his cell phone.

Hi Myron,

As you know, my office computer crashed over the
weekend.

On Monday I was assured my computer was a high
priority and a replacement
motherboard would arrive Tuesday, and I would have
my computer back by
Tuesday afternoon.  [I was very pleased with this
quick turnaround.]

On Tuesday I was informed the motherboard had
arrived but it was the wrong
one.  I was assured that Dell had been informed
and a new motherboard would
arrive Wednesday about noon, so I would have my
computer back by Wednesday
afternoon.  [I was disappointed, but these things
happen and it was
obviously not USC's fault.]

Today (Wednesday) I have heard nothing from UCS. 
I have called several
times to try and find out the status of my
computer, but no one seems to
know anything.  [Why is my computer not available
as promised?  And why can
no one at UCS give me any information on the
status of my computer?]

I need my computer in order to fulfill urgent
contract obligations with the
State Department of Education.  Although under the
present circumstances I
can work better from home (where I have a usable
computer), I have spent
afternoons in my office for the last two days so I
would be available when
my computer is returned.  Can someone please at
least give me information on
the progress of my machine?

Says this is urgent because he cannot get any work

Brain called back.  He asked Myron to call him on 
his cell phone. The  number is 503-420 9077.  He 
lives just 10 minutes away and is willing to come 
to campus if needed.  He would really like to get 
this issue fixed ASAP

Office computer is "dead" suspects it is a bad 
power supply. It is an important computer needed 
to finish a contract, please contact at any time
