Dale and I worked on the Ariel machine for about 6
hours today....we're almost there....Dale is
contacting the Ariel Support Team to find out how
to import all the old addressed from the old
machine to the new one.

The library also claims they have a MASH account
that can only be logged into through the Ariel
station.  I did not know this was a possibility,
so I will ask Brad if he knows anything about it.

I am meeting with Dale to discuss the setup of
this machine tomorrow, 10/6 @ 9AM

Roy -"in the Public Services workroom (HL117). It 
is very important that this computer be replaced 
during finals week or early in the December 
intersession. The functions on this computer are 
mission critical and we can afford downtime 
during a brief period of this window. Hopefully, 
Ariel will only be down for part of one day. The 
old Ariel computer needs to be retained as is 
until we are fully satisfied that the new 
computer is working correctly...Camila Gabaldon 
and Lori Davidson need to know when Ariel will be 
replaced so they can coordinate operations and 
Interlibrary loan processing before Ariel is 
shutdown."
