Hi Teresa,

There is a network port that won't get internet
connectivity. It is in AP408 (admissions area),
under a desk. The number of it was 20D003. There
are something like 12 connections and every other
is labeled with a letter. They all give
connectivity except letter "T" (and "W" but they
don't use that one), which is on the left side of
the block of ports, at the bottom, third port in.
I left the CAT-5 cable unconnected to it so it
stands out a little more. Can you please check
that port? It has not been working since about
January 10th.

Thank you,

Audrey Sundkvist

I tested each of the connections. The connection
on the left side, bottom row, third one is (letter
"T" I think) does not connect to the internet.

The computer says that "the Media is Disconnected"
when you try to do an ipconfig command. The NIC is
enabled and seems to be fine; the CAT5 is plugged
into the back. I even opened the case to make sure
the jack wasn't hanging off the motherboard somehow.

I took my MacBook over and could not get a
connection off the CAT5. The CAT5 is running
through a series of cubical walls and goes back to
a switch. The number on the switch is 020D003. All
of the CAT5 cable were connected. I don't know
which of the about 20 connections goes to computer

Showed up to take a look she was not there, but
her machine was on and someone was logged into
it, and the network connection was fine.

This particular computer says Mash unavailable.
She is going to check the yellow network cable
connection at wall and machine and call back.

Computer is used primarily by student workers.
Lenore is also unable to log into the machine.
When they attempt to log in they get a
message "Server unavailable"
