I called her to explain how to save her new
password and she said she figured it out Friday.

****This is an email****
I reset my password 3 times in an effort to use
the same one - to get around the error message
that indicated I had used that password the last
two times. Clearly, the concept of "last two
times" isn't correct since it rejected my third
effort with that same message. So, I reversed the
order of my password, posted it next to my
computer so I'll remember it, and connected with
the network.

Now she cant use her email because she uses MAC-
MAIL exclusively

she told me to mark this as a high priority
because she cannot do any work.

I called her back. She argued with me about having
to change her password. I helped her understand
how changing her password was the easiest
solution. She told me she would try it and email
me back to say if it helped or not.

Hi Linda,

The issue you are experiencing with your password
can only be solved a couple of different ways. One
scenario is that your computer has problems with
the password and so you must reset it, which you
can do at Account Lookup. The other scenario would
be a problem with your keyboard. Perhaps the keys
are sticking, not being read correctly, or there
is a short circuit somewhere with it, which means
that the keyboard needs to be replaced. Please try
resetting your password and let me know if that
does not solve the problem.

You can contact me by replying to this email or
calling the UCS help desk at extension 88925 and
referencing service request number 24152.

Thank you,

She says that she leaves her machine on and the
last time she tried to log in was a couple of
weeks ago.

SHE DOES NOT WANT TO CHANGE HER PASSWORD
she said that she talked with someone that
allowed for her to keep the same password.

She was able to log into her email yesterday, she
uses MAC mail.

Her office is open anytime and said it is okay
for tech to work on her machine if she is not
available.
