Ok, that did Not work. Deleting all the profiles did not work. I had
to reset the default profile to use the local PDF Creator printer as
default and that DID work.

I found the solution Run Windword /r and it
reregisters Word... for some reason this fixes
the issue.

CHKDSK found errors, fixed them, but that
didn'tsolve the issue. Setting the default
printer to a none-networked or offline printer
will allow the printer menu to open right away.
Otherwise you get the error message.

I cannot print from MS Word or Notepad. The
printer menu will open (after an error from MS
Word: "The printer has not yet responded, but the
Microsft Office program may be able to proceed
without printer information. Do you want to
continue to wait for the printer? [Yes] [No]") but
there are no printers in the dropdown selector if
you press "no". When you press "yes" it comes up
with the printer list.

If I go to the Printers and Faxes menu all of my
printers are listed. I tried going to \\radar\ and
connecting to a printer via right-click. It added
the printer fine, but still lists no printers when
you click print inside an application.

Ran repair on MS Word. - Didn't help.
Ran CHKDSK on C:\. - It found errors. I will run
CHKDSk at restart.
Googled the issue. -

Tells you to set the defaultprinter to one that is
offline. This seemed to work.

While working in word, a student got the message
that the printers could not be found repeatedly.
I put a sign on the machine that says that
printing from it is temporarily unavailable.
