I met with Denise on Friday and was able to get DVDs and CDs to
play. The media she cannot get to play was created and formated
on a Mac, which is the problem. She has a Mac though and so I
showed her how to save to her H: drive.

Denise,

The PC has two DVD/CD-ROMs and so if something won't play
on one it may work in the other. The machine old enough that it
may only read CDs as well. Let me know a time I can come by
and test some media with you and this PC.

Audrey,

Thanks for coming by to look at the PC. I'm feeling a little more
like myself today, thanks!
So, I guess there's no way to view a DVD or play a CD on this PC?

Hi Denise,

I hope this email find you feeling better and healthier! I took the
PC you had in your office and reimaged it, which means it got a
fresh install of Windows and Office. The PC should be noticeably
faster. Also, we put PowerDVD which is software that will read
just about any DVD. I tested a photography CD you had at your
desk and could not get it work run, however. The error I
received when I went into "My Computer" and right-click
"Explore" the DVD said that the DVD is not Windows format. I
suggest you try the DVD in your mach, put the data you need
from it into your personal "mydocuments" drive, and then log
into the PC and access them through the "mydocuments" drive
there.

Please call us at extension 88925 and reference service request
24495 or email me back with any problems.

Thank you,

This has been returned to her office. I was able to connect to the
network/internet. A DVD she had at her desk ws not able to be
played. It may be Mac formated.

She just got this machine set up on Friday of
last week, but she says it runs really really
slowly and that the tech who installed it, said
it might need to be looked at.

Aside from running slowly, the DVD drive does not
work, it wont play any DVD's.

She will leave her office open today she is sick,
she says its fine to go in there and work on the
machine while she is gone.
