The machine was ina workgroup because it has to transfer a
large amount of data between itself and another computer in the
office (500GB of video data for example). It would not connect to
the internet at all.

Tried the following:
-Put on the mash domain : Failed
-Restart : Failed
-Release/Renew IP : Failed

B. Witt came by while I was there and suggested
uninstall/reinstalling the NIC in the device manager. This
worked and afterward we added the machine back to the domain
per Larry's request. Sophos also got fully updated and I was able
to connect to the network/domain.

He logged in this morning just fine, but he
logged in to the local machine. He logged off and
restarted the machine.

There is no drop down box to let him log into the
network, just local machine.

He is available

He found out that the machine was not plugged
into the network.

I asked him to plug in the ethernet cable.

I'm closing the task
