Hello,

I am just letting you guys know the story behind
the different monitor in NS 204. Unfortunately,
there really isn't one for me to find. According
to our inventory that WOU number on the monitor in
place now does belong there. If there was a
different monitor there previously I would need
the WOU number form that, because the other
monitors listed for that room are all in place as
well at the lab stations. I'm sorry the story
isn't more interesting or informative. I did hook
up the monitor so that the correct connections are
used and it will function properly.

If you experience any problems with the monitor or
computer let us know. Or, if you have any more
information about the monitor that was believed to
have been there prior please contact us so we can
research this situation further. The extension to
call is 88925 and this service request number is
25919.

Thank you,

I hooked up the monitor that is there properly and
will investigate it's origins later (I have class
now).

It is trying to use VGA for the on board graphics,
but has a DVI graphics card. There is no DVI cable
there so at some point the monitor probably was
switched.

Jeff called and wanted to know if we had taken
the Monitor on the Instructors Station in NS 204.
He mentions that it has a DELL monitor and it did
NOT have a DELL monitor before and the previous
monitor was bigger.

He also said that when they turn on the machine,
the adapter from the monitor to the actual pc is
not working because they get this error message
when they turn on the machine:
Wrong monitor for computer
