She needed IE set to open new links in new windows
instead of new tabs. Banner won't open in a new
tab, only in a new window.

I called and talked to the user. She said, "If I
open my email and then Banner it closes my email.
It doesn't happen if I open Banner and then my
email. It didn't used to do this." She also said
that she is moving and busy today, so to contact
her next Monday or Tuesday.

This is a USER issue, not a computer problem.  If
anything, a tech can try and blow away her profile
and create another.  Her email does not disappear.

its still an issue and she recieved christians 
voicemail. she is in ED 202.

windows and not tabs.

Turned on tabbed browsing, and turned off reuse
browser windows.

She will try it tomorrow, and if she doesn't like
it, she'll want tabbed browsing turned off.

Desktop machine in office. She has files and wou 
email open. When she clicks the "open banner" 
icon in her toolbar, her email disappears and is 
replaced by banner login.

It sounded like she just needs her browser 
settings changed to open a new tab or window... 
somthing to that effect.

It has been this way for months.
