I got the same error trying to log on with my
account.  Took the machine off the domain and
re-bound.  This solved the issue.

she was able to use the internet from other 
computers, so she believes the problem is with 
her computer

message read: windows cannot connect to the 
domain, either the domain is down or the domain 
is having trouble reading this machine - this is 
displayed whenever she tried using either 
internet program
