If Apple's shipping info is correct, the new
computer should arrive Monday. I have to be on
campus Tuesday anyway, so I can just stop by.
I'll let you know when I'll be arriving.

Thanks,

Michael

He can get Office 2004 for MAC installed on the
laptop, I have a disk that can be checked out or
he can arrange with you techs to bring it in and
have it done here(not usre if you want to do
that). There is no other software licensed to
that station so Filemaker would not be an option
and should not be on his desktop currently(no
license on file)

Brian,

The number on my office computer (which I think is
scheduled to be replaced soon, so it won't be this
number for long) is WOU #20031205[Edit Inv].

Thanks,

Michael

As soon as I get the WOU# of his office machine we
can look into licensing. I sent him an email
letting him know.

With all software (80/20)home computer share
request it is necessary to get their office
station's Wou # in order to check on OS (MAC or
WIN) versions that need to match and valid
licensing.

Tricia I am not familiar with licensing with Macs.
Does the 80/20 still apply. I assume FileMaker is
out of the question. Just want to make sure!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm purchasing a
new laptop (Mac) and didn't want to buy all the
needed software if WOU's licensing contract
allowed for this sort of thing.

I will just need the same basic software I use at
work: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and
perhaps FileMaker Pro.

If that's good, do you prefer to burn discs for
me, or would you rather I just bring the laptop in
when it gets here (within the next few days)?
Either way works for me.

Thanks again,

Michael

General answer to his question is "NO!!" but there
can be special circumstances. Find out the
software he is referring to and we can check the
software's licensing information (on the installs$
drive or w/Tricia).

I think he has dialup, as the number gave me the
busy internet sounds.
