Called and left a message explaining the situation
and that we'd try to get the machine back to him
ASAP. He's out of the office the rest of the week,
so by Monday is the deadline.

Adam was on the phone again today with Dell and
got a different Dell Rep who was baffled by why
they'd sent us a HD and has a Motherboard on the
way to us.

Dell insisted on sending us a HD. We put it in and
the system still hangs on the loading screen for
Windows. We're running some Dell Utilities on a
Dell CD to placate Dell. They won't send us the
processor/motherboard yet.

The service tag for Dell on this is JGCN491 and
it's under warranty until 1/17/09.

The machine hangs at the Windows XP loading
screen. The loading bar never had the green
squares (implying it's loading) run across the
bar. In safe mode it boots all of the drivers to
MUP, but hangs there at the list of drivers.

The computer won't boot completely to Windows
Recovery Console, XP, The Ultimate Boot CD, or
Ubuntu. No change in this when switching the RAM.
Brian Berkley (and I) this it's the CPU or mother
board.

Nancy Ganson just called.  They were calling 
because John's machine is missing. While we were 
talking JOhn walked in her office and said wait 
they left me a crude little note.   What 
reassurred them was the fact that Audrey had the 
machine.  They were not really happy with the 
note.
