Google earths default cache directory is in the
C:\Documents and
Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Google
Earth\ folder and users do not have permission to
create folders there so when users log in the
cache folder is not created resulting in Google
Earth not working. Can be fixed by changing the
permissions on the Administrator folders or in the
registry. I did the registry hack, but it is in
current user so it would require that every user
do it. Changing the permissions for folders is
easier.

****This is an email****
greetings, I and students have been trying to use
Google Earth which was installed on all computers
in NS 125. Once Google Earth program is open
there are several "error box messages" and
nothing happens. In fact the Earth never appears.
Please take a look at this problem. We tried five
of the computers and this problem happened on all
of them.
the wou # for one of the computers is 20080211[Edit Inv].
thank you
the room is open and available to UCS all day
tuesday and thursday and friday after 12 noon.
