Hello,

This is Richard from UCS. I am e-mailing you about
the dell laptop that you brought in with numerous
problems. Sorry it has taken me so long to get
back to you about this issue. I was able to fix
all of the issues but one. The wireless card now
works and if you log in you should be able to see
all network drives. The problem that was reported
with the F8 key, that the display would not switch
to a projector, is the one that can not be fixed.
The external video port that you plug a projector
into is not working and there is nothing we can do
to repair it.

If you have another area you can use this computer
in where it does not need to be hooked up to a
projector or other form of external display (like
a second monitor) then it should still function well.

Please let me know what you would like done with
this laptop by either calling the help desk at
extension 88925 and referencing your service
request number 28916 or by e-mailing me directly

She wants to know what her options are, she isnt 
familiar with the 'lingo' and doesnt know what 
the port not working means

Called Chelsea asking what she wanted to do with
this laptop. it still works with the exception of
its external vga port.

ran gpupdate /force to get network drives. Had no
problem with accessing the network via wireless card.

The external VGA port is dead. Adam tried
re-soldering the connection but it's still dead.

Dell laptop: 
Login under mash only provides half of the 
drives: C, D, A, and H drives only.
Wireless card is active, but does not connect to 
web. Has full signal. Wireless card is with laptop
F8 (Projection key) is not connecting
Chelsee needs administrative authority on this 
laptop.
She needs these things fixed by tomorrow, 
November 8th for preview day.
