Virus scan found 3 things and i deleted them but
the  problem is still there.  Am going to try a
windows repair install tomorrow(went back after
the scan and the door was locked and no one was there)

Has some kind of redirect virus, when links are
clicked they goto various websites not the
intended one. Also has a virus that wont let
spybot run, I was able to get another virus
scanner to run and if it doesn't fix the problem i
recommend a windows repair install or re-imaging
the machine.

She was not there but i go access to her computer.
I logged on as admin. I got no pop ups and was
able to  get online and move around through many
web sites. I used both EI and Firefox. I ran all
the cleaners and  did not find anything harmful.
Need to check with her on monday.

called saying she cannot get online, says a safe 
software reviews window pops-up and gives her two 
options secure or unsecure. Both options shuts 
her computer down completely. 

says her office is available anytime until 5pm.

she called back and said that the problem is only 
specific to her comp.

the comp. turns on and loads to the login caption 
when she enters her info and logs in the comp 
begins warming and even displays her back ground 
right before the comp. restarts. she said the 
possible cause is the project playlist program, 
another faculty member in her department had used 
this program and shortly after began experiencing 
problems with her comp.
