I met with Rebecca and was able to print a
testpage to Ansel. She just didn't realize that
was the name of the printer in the CH office.

You can follow the steps at the "Set Pawprint
password and review the WOU Acceptable Use Policy"
link at www.wou.edu/accountlookup from any
computer with internet access. It can be done from
home. Try it out, and if you encounter problems
let me know so we can schedule a time.

Hello Rebecca,

Lynne mentioned that you had experienced some
printing issues with the new Mac. I thought that
I'd setup Ansel as a printer. Please let me know
if you need any assistance with it. Let me know if
the printer is working fine if that is the case as
well. You can email me back or call the Service

Hi Lynne,

Please try resetting your WOU network password
(even if you have done it recently) at
http://www.wou.edu/accountlookup, and waiting five
minutes before attempting to login to the
network/email. After that you should be able to
use that login and password to login to the Mac in
your office.

Lynne is in class right now. I was able to talk
with her though. She said her email login and
password did not work for login. I said I'd email
her the info about how to reset her password so
that they'd be in sync. She also mentioned Rebecca
had some converns about printing.

Hi Lynne,

When will you be on campus? I can come by the
office any day before 5pm with some exceptions to
morning hours due to classes. You should able to
login using the same information as your WOU Email
login and password.

Hi Lynne,

The Mac in the office you share with Rebecca is in
the process of being replaced. It did not copy the
data you had in your file on the Mac's desktop
properly to the network (for temporary storage
before moving it from there to the new machine).
In the process I mistakenly deleted some of your
files thinking that they had copied successfully.
Users are allocated server space to store data,
which is backed up and secure. I hope you had used
that resource, or backed up your data previously.
All attempts to retrieve the data have failed.
Macs, especially that old, were not really
designed with data recovery in mind.

In order to get your profile set up on the new Mac
I need you to log into it once. After that I will
be able to move the data that was able to be
copied onto your profile on the new computer. We
can do this by you logging in next time you're in
the office, and then me coming back some other
time (our hours are 8am-5pm and I understand you
are only at WOU in the evening). Or you can send
me your password and I can lo int as you to set
everything up all at once.

I do apologize for any inconvenience this
information this may have caused you, but look
forward to setting up the new computer for you as
best as possible.

Copying files from the old computer to the new
computer I accidentally deleted Lynne Rainwater's
files because moving things to the smb shares was
not moving things inside of folders entirely. I am
running Data Recovery now.

She is unable to view her hotmail. She is unable 
to update to a newer internet ff or Ie. She gets 
a message saying she is not the administrator of 
the computer. She is avlailale Mon. and Wed. from 
12 to 2. and Tue. and Thurs. from 10-11am.
