Called and left a VM letting her know the issue
has been fixed temporarily and were closing the
task and to contact us back if she has any problems.

There has been an issue with the firewall around
the server subnet that is largely responsible for
the problems you both describe.

Right now the problem has been temporarily
rectified by shutting down the component
responsible for all the intermittent network problems.

Here is the process:
 
My cursor turns to a coffee cup 
"Unknown error has been encountered.  #8002" 
"Communication with the host was interrupted and 
could not be re-established.  All affected 
windows will be closed." 
Program windows go blank, do not respond or show 
odd objects. All work in progress is lost.

says the program file maker 9 is on the terminal

server, gives her a message:
says unable to continue the connection with the 
host and needs to shut down, says the wierdest 
part is it turns her cursor into a coffee cup 
that has never happened before. 

trying to build a database a project that mike s. 
is aware of.
