Completed. After reghosting and updating, I took
the machine back to the Library, where I connected
the Minolta scanner and ran the driver install
from the T: drive. Then I installed Acrobat 6
Standard (this is the latest version for which
they have a license). Windows kept trying to
detect new hardware on reboot, so I had to remove
an unknown device from Device Manager.

I have reghosted and am now running Windows
updates. SCSI card seems to have been properly
detected. I found a driver for the MS 2000
microforms scanner on the T: drive that I'll try
when I get the box back to the Library.

Machine has Deep Freeze (older version 2000XP)
installed. RunDLL errors prevent you from running
the hacks to uninstall Deep Freeze. I have
brought the CPU back for reghosting. Machine is
currently on my desk (745).
