Checked computer on Monday, 3/16.  Everything
seemed to be OK at that time and no errors had
surfaced since Friday, 3/13.

the menu box popped up again:

performs virus scanning and disinfection 
functions.

His screen will show up with the icons. but when 
he uses the mouse to click on an icon and nothing 
is happening.

a box popped up and was saying something like 
checking for virus or virus scan.

He said that he talked to dale goodell.
he had restarted it and it is doing the same
