I dropped the laptop back off to the front desk.
He emailed me back saying he figured it was dead.
So they will be replacing it.

No one was there when i went to return it so i am
storing it here until tomorrow. I will send an
email to Scott Beaver explaining what is going on.

The laptop needs to be replced. I cannot image the
machine because the ethernet port is dead. Also
the hard drive is dying and has bad sectors.

the laptop is in the main cabinet and shareen has 
the key for it. she will not be there between 12 
and 1 but anyother time she will be.

This is the same laptop.  The previous issue from 
October 7, 2008 involved re-imaging the machine.  
Prof. Beaver wants to know if the department 
should replace the machine and needs to know by 
Wednesday morning (this morning).

Hi Scott,

It does indeed appear that ticket number 28289 
from October 7, 2008, which describes an issue 
involving the "Blue Screen of Death" was this 
same computer (WOU#20030387).  Would you like me 
to make another ticket for this machine?

Hi folks,

Our laptop gave the blue screen of death this 
weekend. So did one of our two laptops during the 
past year.  Please tell me what the WOU number of 
the previously failed laptop was (the one which 
failed most recently has a WOU # of 20030387), so 
the Mathematics Department can decide whether it 
needs to consider scrapping it if it has failed 
twice. We need this information before our 
department meeting Wednesday morning 4/22 at 
9:00.
