I reinstalled the drivers on both computers and
the scanners seem to be working fine now

Front of lab, position: L1.

A student was trying to use the scanner in
location: J3, but computer could not find the scanner.

So, we moved him to another scanner that he'd used
a few days ago (location L1).

He was unable to use this machine, so I'm trying it.

When I plug the usb cable, I get the Found New
Hardware notice/EPSON Scanner.  Then prompted for
an admin username/password.

If I try to run the scanner (EPSON Scan) without
installation, I get 
"EPSON Scan cannot be started.  Please use
troubleshooting..."
