I also tested the laptop to make sure it was
working after its "surgery" and it works great.

The VGA port on the back of the laptop was broken
where the pins were connected to the motherboard.
I took the laptop apart and Adam tried
re-soldering the pins to the motherboard. He could
not get them all re-connected so there is nothing
more that we can do. I put the laptop back
together and returned it to the information desk
in the WC.

she is going to leave the laptop at the info desk 
and the laptop needs to be used on teh 26th on 
june. for the SOAR day

the department laptop that she is using from the 
university center is not connecting to the 
projection unit...and she said that it is not the 
cord that is not working because she used the 
cord on other computers and it work. the 
projecting unit will take the picture. but the 
computer screen is flashing and all other random 
stuff when it is not supposed to.
