I installed combined community codec pack and that
fixed the problem. He was able to drag the file to
his timeline and preview it.

The error, "the file can not be imported the 
codex required to play the file is not installed 
on the computer." Using windows media maker; 
also, if there is anything better fit to edit 
movies, more than windows movie maker, it would 
be grealty appreciated to be installed. This 
needs to be done asap for their deadlines.
