he has been unable to connect to the network 
since yesterday afternoon. he has tried 
everything like restarting his computer and 
pulling the plug and tried to repair the 
connection by renewing the IP address but it did 
not work either.

this is stopping him from doing any work at all 
and needs to be done asap.
