Speakers on Computer

The built-in speakers on my computer [20070446]
are too quiet to hear many of the streaming
videos, webinars, etc. I have been just getting
real close to the speaker and straining to hear,
but I’m tired of that. On the Control Panel the
volume is set at maximum. I have some external
speakers I could use, but they didn’t work when I
plugged them in. Can you help, please?

Hello,

Lost one of my “My Documents”

When I got on my computer this morning, there was
a message box indicating that the installation of
some upgrade overnight had required that my
computer be automatically restarted. I didn’t
think anything about it until I tried to get into
My Documents. Up until last night, I have had 2
folders labeled “My Documents” on my computer:
one that shows automatically when I open Windows
Explorer (which is how I navigate around the
drives and documents) and another one that was
within “My Computer.” I had been told that “My
Documents” would automatically be saved each
night, but I had discovered that there were
differences between the “outside My Computer”
and “inside My Computer” versions, so I just
ignored the “outside My Computer” version of My
Documents and used only the one that was inside
My Computer and said “My documents on Cougar” –
at least I think it was Cougar, believing that
that would be the one that would be saved and
updated automatically. Well, with the update last
night, I lost the “My Documents” that was being
saved on Cougar and only have the other one. I
tried moving the outside version into “My
Computer” but it wouldn’t move. Now I think that
my version of My Documents is not being saved and
automatically updated. Is this true?
