****This is an email****
Hello:
For a year now (really) I have been unable to
print from my office computer in HSS 320.
Attempts to print a document fail. The message I
eventually get is that the print spooler is not
running. Then I try to add a printer, but I
can't because the Print Spooler is not running.
I have to log on to the student worker's computer
in the Humanities office to print anything from
there. This is extremely inconvenient when I am
working with a student in my office, or under
time pressure to print something for class,
especially when the student worker or one of the
adjunct faculty is already using the computer.
This is a source of continued aggravation for me.

I have filed reports to have UCS staff look at
the computer several times over the last year,
and each time the person researches the problem
and does something and it might seem to be fixed
until the next time I turn on my computer, when I
again get the Print Spooler error.

Please send someone who really knows what they're
doing with the networked printer system, and
knows how to uninstall any traces of networked
printing on my computer and reinstall the current
version of the printer networking software from
scratch. Please test it multiple times, after
restarting the computer.

Thanks,

Ann Bliss
