Sam,

Right click on the My Computer icon in your start
menu.

Select properties.

Click the Remote tab.

Put a checkmark in the box that says “Remote
Desktop” allow users to connect remotely to this
computer.

Click Select Remote Users, and put MASH\coles in
the list.

Then click OK, or apply.

Then, you’ll need to know your IP address, since
we don’t reserve dynamic addresses in DNS.

Open a web browser and go to http://www.whatismyip.com

That will tell you the address you need to use
remote desktop from home to get to your work
computer (do this from work before you leave).

Sometimes your system will lease a different
address from our server, so make sure you check it
before you leave work if you plan on using it over
a weekend or something.

He would like to enable the remote terminal so he
