Bonnie,

I have not heard back from you or Don as to
whether or not you are still having issues with
mail disappearing.

If you still have problems, please let me know.

Thanks,

She had a filtered view that hid messages marked
for deletion. There isn't anything wrong with
outlook, and she shouldn't have any more problems.

She's using outlook at work and convergence at
home. This only happens at work so it's likely an
issue with outlook. I'm trying to set up a time to
remotely access her computer.

How are you accessing your e-mail? Do you use a
desktop client like, Thunderbird or Outlook, or do
you use a web browser to access
www.wou.edu/webmail? If you use a web
browser, what browser do you use?

Richard—right after I sent the previous email, I
continued down my inbox and it happened again.
The message under my cursor evaporated before I
clicked on it.

I haven’t noticed this problem since the new
interface. I was also planning to let Brian know
that another problem with email at home
(messages appear to be sent—show up in the Sent
box—but don’t go anywhere) has also resolved
since the Sun interface changed. This makes me
think it wasn’t a problem with Comcast after all.

Hello,

This is Richard from University Computing
Services. I'm following up on task number 34907.
You had been in contact with Brian Witt about e-
mails vanishing from your inbox. I wanted to
check up and ask if this was still happening since
the change to the new mail system.

Please let us know if this is still a problem so that
we can look into it as soon as possible. You can
contact us at extension 88925 if you're on
campus or you can e-mail me directly at
rkavanagh08@wou.edu.

Thank you for your time,
Richard Kavanagh

Just FYI, the problem just occurred again. It was
a junk message, I moved my cursor to it and I
honestly don’t think I clicked. It just evaporated.

I verified with Dave that this is not a network
issue, but rather a computer/web browser issue.

It’s still happening and not necessarily when I
click on them. It even happens if I just delete
the message before it. It’s random,
unpredictable. But it happened already this morning.

she clicks on the top message in her inbox and it
disappears. it does not show up in her trash mail
or anywhere. she said that it does not happen all
the time, but when it does she has to ask the
person to resend it.
