Screen was replaced on the laptop and I took it up
to him.  I told to be careful with this one so it
doesn't get broken.

Call Dell, get a quote for repair of the newer
laptop with broken screen.  Find out how much the
other laptop is to get fixed as well.

Danny definitely wants the newer laptop repaired asap

Danny brought it back and said that it's still 
having problems. He wasn't able to a graceful 
shut down because of the problems it was having.

reconnected the panel and it works. Left it up
front and left a VM telling him it was ready

Backlight is confirmed out. We can get an estimate
on the cost to repair it but the laptop is 6 years
old and would suggest getting an new one instead
of paying the 400 for a new screen.

The back light seems to have went out on the 
laptop last night when he was working on it.  He 
would like the laptop back by this Thursday, 
1/7/10 if possible.
