I finished up the Windows side and did a test scan
and copied over the default profile.

I went and changed the default profile so that the
shortcut for the scanning software was in the dock
and i tested scanning with my profile not as an
administrator, (i removed the administer by
MASH\studenttechs) and it scanned and worked.

Hi Cinthya,
I just called in this morning to reopen this
ticket.  Mac 1 is not allowing printing for some
students and is not allowing mapping to printers.
 Also, it is not allowing students to use the
attached scanner.
In both cases, the error message says something
akin to "You do not have sufficient authority to
install the necessary hardware" or some such.
Thanks for keeping this open - it's the 3rd time
I've called it in!

So the users are not able to print or use the
scanner.  The scanner says that the users don't
have privileges to install the scanner and when
printing, there is no list of printers and no
permission to install them.

She said you need to add all the library printers
to the map in addition to the scanning software.

The machine was brought in for service and has
come back w/out scanning software installed.
