He is in the correct LDAP groups.  I was able to
open it no problem. I made a copy of the file and
deleted the original. If he restarts his computer,
he should be able to open it.

he is getting an error message when trying to open
the power point file disabilities 2010: 

powerpoint was unable to open or save this
document please insure that you have access
privileges to read or write the document and that
it is not incripted. 

says he needs this as soon as possible.
