Remoted into his machine, setup Thunderbird
toolbar with Lightning Buttons, configured the
address book, and double-checked settings for
Thunderbird and everything works.

Brad,

You need to edit your account settings.

Go to Tools, Account Settings, and click on
Outgoing Server (SMTP).  On the right hand side,
click Edit.  Under Security and Authentication
uncheck Use name and password after you remove
your userid from the User Name field.

Use Secure Authentication should be unchecked, and
Connection Security should be set to none.  Click
OK.  Then Click OK again.

mail and news groups account setting are correct
and try again.

he said when he copy and paste things to an email.
when he tries to send it, it thinks for a second
then comes up with a message saying sending of
message failed,please verify that your mail and
news groups account setting are correct and try again.
