Sue,

If you have admin rights on that computer, you
should be able to go to Start, Run and type: cmd
and click OK.

Type ipconfig /release
Hit enter.
Type ipconfig /renew
Hit enter.

It should get the proper address.

RE: Service Request #37604 (TRC Front Desk computer)

 

For the new TRC Front Desk computer (WOU#
20090572), I will need a static IP to finish my
setup of Millennium. (I thought that the old
computer would be coming back to TRC.)

According to my records, the old computer (don’t
know the WOU#) was assigned static IP 140.211.114.90
You could just reuse that number.
The MAC for the new computer is 00-26-B9-74-7C-5F

Please let me know the static IP you use. After
things are working, I'll contact the Help Desk so
they can close the call again.

monitor is on counter in ITC008

please record MAC Address of new computer in 
inventory as this machine was Dead on arrival and 
had to be fixed by Adam and I have not had a 
chance to colloect and inventory the NIC Address
