Amos:
No valid license for Amos was found. (11, 307)

Resolution Subject: This error relates to problems
accessing your My Documents folder upon program
launch or accessing \All Users\Application
Data.

Resolution Description: 
1. If you are using a laptop and have your "My
Documents" folder mapped to a network location,
you will need to change the location of the My
Documents folder to a local drive while off the
network.

2. Your "My Documents" path is unavailable or you
do not have at least write permission to your "My
Documents" directory. The specified path must
exist (though it can be hidden) and be available
with the necessary permissions. If you have full
permissions to the "My Document" you can try
deleting the "SafeNet Sentinel" subfolder (if it
exists). Conversely if the "Safenet Sentinel"
subfolder does not exist you could try to manually
create it and it's subfolders such that the path
\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel RMS
Development Kit\Tools does exist.

3. If you are using SPSS/AMOS 16 please ensure
that you applied the latest patches. The 16.0.0
release was unable to access network file
locations properly.

4. Ensure that the user has full access rights to
the \All Users\Application Data folder.
Typically this is c:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data.

5. Ensure the user has full access rights to the
Default User's "My Document" folder. Normally this
is c:\Documents and Settings\Default User\My
Documents.

6. If you get the 307 error when trying to connect
to SPSS Server you will need to ensure that the
server has access to the "My Document" folder and
subsequent "SafeNet Sentinel" subfolder for the
system defined "Default User".

The dependancy on the user's "My Documents" folder
has been removed in the following versions:

Hi Brian,

 I've used the key and license authorization
wizard - which tells me I have successfully
activated the license - then when I go to open up
the program it opens a screen and then says "No
valid license found (11,307)"
 
I can see the program is installed in the all
programs file - and I've gone thru the
authorization wizard a couple of times - it says
successfully activated - I've re-started the
computer. PASW 18.0 opens and works just fine.
   Not sure what to do next.  In "Add programs"
file there is something that asks if I want to
'repair' the file which will reinstall it. should
I do that?
 I have not yet.
 any ideas for next steps?

 i must have missed the key email - I"ll go back
and look for it -- I'm teaching today but will do
it as soon as I am back in the office -- thank you

SPSS is here see install derrive locations below
and the install codes let me know if you have any
issues, also there was a hold up in HR and
hopefully that gets resolved today and she gets an
acct( arrival notice) so we can arrange for John
Killoran/Cindi Mafit to pickup and transport to
TRI-Eugene on Monday

I received the SPSS electronic download, but I'm 
not sure who to send it to?  Berkely is out 
today, Adam just left and there are no student in 
the tech area.

I have the laptop on the counter in ITC008 but we 
have not gotten the Electronci Download and 
license info for SPSS Statistics Base 18 and Amos 
18 licenses that need to also be installed we may 
have to arrange delivery prior to recieving that 
in order to get the laptop to TRI - Eugene Office 
by June 1st.
