 Teresa,

Thanks for the email! That problem appears to
have been solved, though I'm not quite sure how.
But for now you can end the task request. Thanks
again!

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I believe you have been emailing one of our

your calendar via webmail in IE. (#37914)

We were just checking to make sure that this has
been taken care of for you?

If not, just email me back and we'll continue to
work on getting this resolved for you.

Thanks,

Daniel,

Thank you for your prompt reply. I apologize for asking
questions that you have already answered. We have had this
issue come up a few times and so far we have found it to be an
issue with the computer or the web browser that the person was
using. Since you are experiencing this on multiple computers and
regardless of your web browser it would be helpful for us if you
where able to find a time to come down to UCS and show this to
Dave Diemer, the person who is in charge of the e-mail system.
Let me know if you'll be able to come by any time soon.

Thank you for your time,

Richard,

I know this is not your fault, but I have answered your two
questions three different times, and to three different UCS
people. Are those answers not being recorded? The problem
persists regardless of computer or web browser. And it is only
when I access my calendar through the web that it happens.
Since the problem began I have begun using Mozilla Thunderbird
for my email and calendar, and have no problem accessing my
tasks through it. The problem does still exist when I access the
calendar through the web though. Thanks for your help!

Hello,

This is Richard from University Computing Services. I am e-
mailing you about a service request you called in where you
reported that you could not access the task list in the calendar
feature of the webmail. I would like to get a little more
information about this issue to help us troubleshoot.

Firstly, is the problem isolated to one computer? You can check
this by attempting to access the task list from home or from
another computer on campus. Secondly, what internet browser
do you are you using when this occurs, and if you change to
another browser does the problem persist?

You can get back to me by calling the service request desk at
extension 88925 and referencing your service request number
37914 or you can reply to this e-mail.

Thank you for your time,

We need this person to stop by to verify this is
still a problem. Another individual came in for
the same issue and it worked perfectly via
terminal server. Therefore it is a computer issue.

Is there any way you could come up to itc 009
today to the service request desk. The mail system
administrator would like to see the issue first
hand. He will be here until around 4. If you can
show up that would be great and will be the best
way to solve your problem since it is happening on
many machines.

Thanks,
Nathan Higginbotham

Hello Daniel,

I am emailing you about your current issue with
your tasks not being able to be viewed. Has this
been tried on several computers to see if it has
the same issue. Please let me know if this is the
case.

Thank You,

Nathan Higginbotham- UCSTech

I had Dave check the email account, which is
healthy. Dave and I can both get into the 'Task'
section of our email accounts. At this point, it
must be an issue with the computer itself - be it
a browser or Java Runtime issue.
