You can stop by ITC 007 and a tech can look at it
or let me know when a good time will be to stop by
your office. To turn on your wireless there might
be a couple different ways for you laptop model. I
believe for your model you hold down the
function(Fn) key on the bottom left of your
keyboard and then push F2 it should have a blue
signal tower on it. If not you might have a switch
on the side of laptop with same symbol of a signal
tower and it needs to be moved to ON.

Hi Kristin,
This is Lance from the University Computing
Services with Western and I'm emailing you in
regards to your task about your WOU laptop. You
wanted to know if you could take it home or to OSU
to use. You can take it and use them there with no
problem and there is nothing we need to do When
using your laptop else where you will need to
either have a network cable or log on to their
wireless to get internet access. Your password
should be stored so you can still log in, but if
you are off campus the network drives will not
map. So if you want to use them you can use Remote
Desktop and log on the the terminal services and
you can access them that way. If you have any
questions you can reply to this email or call the
Service Desk.

Thank you,
UCS

She does not have a wired station, only the
laptop that she uses with a network cable when on
campus. So she is not currently using WOU
wireless and isn't interested in paying the $17
per month. She would like to take this laptop to
OSU and her home and use it there but I'm not
100% sure she is wanting to use it at the other
locations, wired or wireless. The more I talked
to her the more I was mis understanding. Sorry! :
