****This is an email from Diane Tarter 1-4-2011****
Hi Tricia,

Starting the new term, we want to check in on the
addition of CS 5 to the 4 computers in CH 311. The
following was just sent to me from Jen Bracy, who
works with the graphic design students, teaching
classes in ITC 104:

I heard today from my seniors that the CH 3rd
floor computer lab (CH 311) has still not been
upgraded to the latest CS software. There are two
other department's classes taking place in ITC104
in addition to our regular art classes, and the
computers in the APSC lab apparently no longer
have any graphics software installed, so the
students are very distraught about having time to
work on projects. Those 4 computers over in CH are
that much more critical now.

I know you were planning to have CH 311 updated to
CS5. Could you send someone to find out what's
going on with those? I don't know if it's that the
icons aren't in the dock, or that the software
isn't showing up.

Also, please let me know about the APS lab. Is
there another method to access CS5 software from
there that the students aren't aware of?

It's true that ITC 104 is quite busy will classes
this term, and some of the graphic design courses
run into the evening. Apparently we have a lot of
students who don't own their own computers.

I appreciate any help you can give!
Thanks,
Diane T.

Gabe installed this for me. He said that for some
reason Illustrator wouldn't install. I'll have to
check this out.

there are 4 MAc Pro Quad stations in CH 311
Garphics Lab that should have gotten CS5 Web Prem
and Indesign CS5 at the same time as ITC104, do
these need to be individually installed or a new
image created and dispersed to this location?
