i think it's a motherboard issue (I checked the
video card and the ram, and they are fine).
We had a parts machine here (#20051006) so I put
her old hard drive in it (plus a power supply and
2 ram chips) so that she can use it

Computer is powered up and she can't turn the
power off on the computer, even when she holds it
down.  she can turn it off when she unplugs it
though.  The monitors say they are on and I had
her check the plugs in the back of the monitor and
the light stays orange/yellow.  She is using dual
monitors and both are out.
