I went there and fixed some settings (outgoing
server authentication). we tested multiple times
with on-campus and off-campus emails and
everything works

He uses the Mac mail ulility.  When he sends
emails to non-webmail addresses they get bounced
back undelivered.  He used to get to choose when
other server to send them from, but this term it
says the other servers are disconnected. If he
sends them from his webmail account they get
delivered okay.  He prefers to use the Mac mail
utility because of the additional features.  He
uses a Mac laptop (W#20071114).
