Hi Todor,

Sorry for taking so long to respond. As the
university Center begins its remodel, I am one of
the "no-mads" of the office and will be moving
around the University center. I gave our office
coordinator, Angie Barry, all of this information.
Looks like if Dell has the part, even though it is
an obsolete machine, she is going to generate the
proper paperwork for making that order happen.

Thanks again for all of your help!
Stephen

Hello Stephen, this is Todor with UCS emailing you
regarding your service request for the damaged
CD/DVD drive on your machine. Currently, we do not
have any replacement CD/DVD drives for the model
of your computer. In order to replace it we would
have to order one from Dell, and your department
would have to cover the cost for that part (we
estimate that it may be around $30, although we
cannot be certain until we have the product ID
number). Let us know if you plan to purchase a
replacement CD/DVD drive, or if you decide to wait
until we get an out-of-service computer of your
model from which we can get that part.
Thank you,

Todor, UCS Tech

I called the number and talked to Nan, and I asked
her to relay a message to Stephen that their
department would have to pay for a replacement
cd-drive. Asked them to call us back if they
decide to replace it or go without it.

Good morning,

My Cd-Rom drive on the PC located in my office was
unintentionally pulled out of its socket, bending
part of the bracket that holds it into place. Now
the CD Drive cannot be placed back into the socket.

When you have a chance, please have someone stop
by the University Center to repair the cd drive.
My office is located in WUC 214-B.

Thank you
Stephen
