Her laptop is reimaged and all the software she
needs is installed.

There were numerous problems with her Windows
environment. Reimaging her machine seems like the
best option.

She said she must get this fixed today.  She is 
borrowing a department laptop but can only use it 
for today.  I told her we would make this a 
priority for 9:00 when Todor is in.  She also 
said that things have gotten really bad with her 
computer, all sorts of errors. She would rather 
not have it re-imaged because last time we did 
that she was missing 1/2 her programs when she 
got the computer back.

She called again this morning and said she is
still receiving the dll library not found error
messages.  Outlook and IE are not working.  She is
frustrated.

Cheryl called back and 1:00 today would be best. 
1:00 to 2:00 today is great!  She is currently 
backing up her laptop and has time at 1:00 but 
has another meeting at 2:00.

Now that the computer is trying to install this
program it is making the computer unusable. when
she clicks on the cancel or the X button it goes
away and then comes back and starts to try
installing again. it is freezing her computer
keeping her from working.

there is a icon on her desktop that when she
clicks on it it want her to install it, she said
she has already done this. she would like to have
someone help her with this.

Work Performed
-	Visited Cheryl at her office and show her the
correct place to find the Acrobat Pro install.
-	Now that she knows where to find it she will try
to install it later today and let us know if she
runs into any issues.

Current Status:
-	Cheryl now knows where to find the installer for
Acrobat Pro 9.

Next Steps:
-	Confirm that Cheryl got Acrobat properly installed.

I tried these instructions and it didn't work. 
Can you clarify? A DOS window flashed but I never 
got any instructions. I tried restarting after it 
flashed, but I didn't have the options for 
Programs from the network.

Oh, I have 20 e-mails open (I've reduced it from 
50!) that I need to get taken care of because I'm 
afraid I'll have to restart the computer after I 
install the program. I got the instructions from 
someone, but I just haven't had a chance to get 
everything done that I need to do to install it. 
BUT I have some reports due at the end of the 
month and I have to save the forms as a PDF, so I 
will definitely be getting to it by the 29th!

Hey this is Jordan with the UCS. I am emailing you
in regards to your service request for having
Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. I was
told that if you Click on "Start", then click on
"Run" and type "gpupdate /force" (without the
quotes) and press enter, and restart your computer
when it asks or is finished. Then when your
computer is turned back on click on "Start" then
"Control Panel" and then click "Add/Remove
Programs". On the left side of the screen you
should see a button that says Programs from the
Network, click that and you should see Adobe
Acrobat Pro 9 in that list, and you will be able
to install that from the list. If you run into any
issues or have any questions please feel free to
email me back or give us a call at 88925. Thank

She should go to start, run and type gpupdate
/force and reboot.

Then go to Control panel, Add/Remove programs, and
click on get programs from network.  Acrobat Pro 9
is published to members of a security group, and
she is now a member.
