We have not had time to upgrade any more of our
computers.  You can close this service request, if
you wish.  When we upgrade the rest of the
machines I will contact you if we have any
problems and open another service request, if needed.

2007 migration.

A couple in the office have run the upgrade and it
went fine.  We will be upgrading the rest of our
machines in the next week or so.  Seems it is
something we can do ourselves but will be calling
you if we run in to a glitch.

Gail,

Upgrading to Office 2007 is a relatively simple
process.  Faculty and Staff with local
administrative rights can simply go to Start, Run
and type: \\plowking.wou.edu\office2k7\setup.exe
and click OK or hit enter.

The system will upgrade existing versions of
Office 2003 to Office 2007.

This can be done at any time, like for example,
when you prepare to leave for the day, and when
you come in the next day, you can acknowledge the
upgrade has finished, and restart the computer.

Please let me know if you and your staff would
like to try it this way, and to contact me with
any problems.

This is self-serve.

Start, Run and type:
\\plowking.wou.edu\office2k7\setup.exe

Click OK or hit enter on the keyboard.

When it is done upgrading, it will reboot once the
end-user acknowledges that setup is complete.

Gail Wolfe indicates that there maybe time 
periods where this CAN NOT be done since they run 
critical "processes" MWF mornings.  The two 
laptops indicate only 2007 install so I am not 
sure if the have 2003 or they just assume they 
do, so please check all stations and make sure 
old 2003 copies are gone
I will be editing the records of these stations 
to indicate the curent version installed
