older service request that we have for you.

Description: Have 3 or 4 computers out of 8 that 
do not have the option to print to the printer in 
the area.

We were wondering if this has been resolved for 
you or if we can still be of assistance with

Hello,

I understand we are replacing the thin clients in
the writing center. I wanted to find out a bit
about your requirements to try and make the
transition as smooth as possible. The most
important things I need to know are these:

  1. What software is needed for these stations?
  2. What additional hardware is connected to
these stations?

The default software setup for the stations we
already have around campus are fairly standard as
far as software is concerned. They have the
Microsoft Office Suite and some standard
multimedia items. As far as hardware is concerned,
I mean scanners and the like. I'm not exactly sure
what the time table on getting these replacements
looks like, but I assume sooner is better than
later. If you'd like to see the types of stations
you'll be getting, we have them set up in the
library behind the reference desk, in the second
floor "alcove", and in room 108.

The Unix SunRay management servers are having some
problems today.  The good news is that your
department is slated to get the SunRay Thin
Clients replaced with Wyse Zero Clients for VDI.

Richard Kavanagh will be contacting you to
determine your needs for the lab.
