Brian,

Great news--thanks to your advice, my computer is
now revived!  YAY!  I've been putting it through
the paces just to make sure, but it seems that all
systems are go after several hours of use.  I will
return the loaner to you later today or tomorrow.

Have you managed to dry out the computer yet?

If it doesn't power on by tomorrow, please bring
it by so I can take it to the Mac store for a
repair estimate on Wednesday.

Gave her 20060409[Edit Inv] as loaner, suggested she try and
dry it out in a box of rice (tupperware, with
battery out) for a few days, then if necessary
we'll get it to the Mac store for repair

She has decided to try to dry out her battery per
tech instructions first. If this does not solve
her problem, she said she'll bring it back in.

Karen's Mac was accidentally exposed to some water
dripped onto the keyboard causing it to shut down
and she would like to have it looked at. She also
was wondering if there is a loner laptop she could
use in the mean time while she waits to see if
she's done any permanent damage to the original laptop
